Mensajeros de la Paz Argentina has a home for elderly men and women who have found themselves lonely without the necessary care for everyday life. The Home has a professional team of doctors, psychologists, social workers, and nutritionists who work 24 hours a day to provide care for participants.
In Argentina, 4 in 10 people are classed as 'poor'. When this data is disaggregated, it shows that of this 40%, most are children, women or the elderly. The project in question is aimed at this third group. This group is not protected by the State, living in solitude and deprived of rights such as retirement, pensions, or health insurance.
Hogar San Jose seeks to promote the protection and restitution of the rights of its residents. The objective is not only to give the residents somewhere to live, but also to create a home for them, in the broadest sense of the word. The home not only responds to the physiological needs of the participants but also promotes the emotional wellbeing and mental health of the subjects through different 'recreational workshops and medical follow-ups, among other services.
San Jose Home is a place that has honored the tradition of respecting and caring for older adults for more than 80 years. Mensajeros de la Paz is committed to protecting their dignity and protecting them from any risk situation that directly affects them.
