Dear Benefactor,

Greetings from Margadarshi!!

Margadarshi’s goal is to provide education support for challenged students, especially to girls since they are the foundation of their homes, as future mothers.

We are happy to inform you that 4 new students from Chamarajanagar, one of the most backward areas in Karnataka, India joined our Residential Centre to pursue their College Education. 3 of them are enrolled for Pre-University College and one for Degree. Now altogether there are 8 students in our Centre along with the women who are in Livelihood activities. We are proud to inform you that one of our students, Rakshitha, have got Distinction in her 10th Standard Board Exam.

Rakshitha is an extremely potential and a bright student. Having lost her mother at the age of 4, she was raised by her father, a farmer, whom she considers to be her inspiration and role model. She has a loving step mother to assist her in her necessities and to take good care of her, besides her father and her 2 siblings. Rakshitha was often bullied for her dwarf growth, but none of these negative remarks affected her, on the contrary it only fuelled her purpose and energy to achieve in life. In the just concluded 10th Standard Exam, she scored 92.96%, making her a celebrity among her peers. She is now enrolled at St Anne’s PU College for computer science and aspires to become a Banker in future. She says “I am humbled and grateful for the support and opportunity that Margadarshi has provided me and would forever be thankful to them for this great act of kindness and encouragement for students like me.”

We thank you for your support for Rakshitha and to all the inmates under our Residential Support!!
