New Year Celebrations

By Margaret Rose | Marketing Manager

Dear Benefactor,

Greetings from Margadarshi!!!

The New Year Celebration is always a very joyful event for Residents of Margadarshi. 2026 was welcomed with happiness. Margadarshi organized a grand New Year Celebration with the active participation of all Residents and Committee Members. All were dressed in their best attires creating a positive and cheerful environment for everyone present.

The program commenced with a devotional prayer song rendered by our President, Ms. Shanthalakshmi, invoking blessings for a successful and joyful year ahead. Following the prayer, a series of games were conducted, starting with Memory Game and the 3 winners were chosen, namely, Sanjitha, Rakshitha and Chaitanya. Thereafter, the Residents were divided into two groups, and many interactive games were conducted, including Dumb Charades, Acting and Sentence-Passing Communication Games. These games encouraged teamwork, creativity and active participation. Later, an Antakshari session was organized, during which residents enthusiastically participated and performed group dances, adding energy and excitement to the celebration. Last but not the least was Number-Telling game which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

A special gift for the “Lucky Person of 2026” was presented through a lucky draw, Karuna won the gift, which added excitement and joy to the celebration. Another special gift was awarded to the “Best Dressed Person” of the day, which was won by Mamatha, recognizing her elegant appearance. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various games and small mementos were presented to all as a token of appreciation and remembrance.

To conclude the celebration, a cake-cutting ceremony was held, followed by a delicious meal and all participants enjoyed it fostering a strong sense of unity and togetherness, and making the event a grand success.

WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS 2026
