Facundo arrived 3 years ago with his mother -Claudia- to our foster home, coming from the south of Chile, at the age of 4 years old. After a year of treatment in the Hospital, in the capital, Facu had fulfilled his desire to return home and be reunited with his family, but soon after, he relapsed of his cancer and had to return to Santiago to restart the treatment and to be transplanted of blood bone marrow. Today, Facu is 6 years old and is happy, because after a year of post-transplant recovery in our foster home, he received the great news that he can now return home and be reunited with Shakira, Princesa, Esperanza, Tito, Canela, Chorreja and his other dogs and kittens. In the farewell of Casa de Acogida, Facundo embraces his great friends, whom he will miss very much after so many adventures lived together, the same as for Claudia, it will be difficult to forget the sleepless nights in the hospital and all the bitterness that shakes the soul of a mother when a child has cancer, but probably, he will not forget the love and support of the volunteers and professionals of Fundación Nuestros Hijos either. "I can't thank them enough for everything they have done for me and my Facundo since the first day we arrived at this house; the Foundation is our family," Claudia confesses. Thank you for supporting hundreds of children like Facundo.
