Bad Harzburg/Germany: The 3rd charity duck race, organized by our organisation, could be described once again as an successful event. Even if the weather was more than rainy, many visitors and participants have found the way and brought with them the right mood.
688 small yellow ducks went to the 800m race track in the city center of Bad Harzburg. The rough river "Radau" and his numerous stone obstacles did not make the journey of all this small ducks easy. The first duck finished after 35 minutes and the winner, a man from Goslar, received a balloon trip. The members of our association made a great job in- and outside of the water, so that all ducks could reach the finish line.
This event is always a great opportunity for us to get in contact with the people who are taking part. Talking about our work is very important in order to meet our own requirements. We would like to bring many people closer to this very difficult topic, for an better understanding about the needs of the affected families
Also 2018 will be called again: Ready, steady, go Ducks !
