Dear Supporters,
the last quarter was essentially characterized by the fact that the reduced restrictions around Corona made one or the other initiative possible. We oriented ourselves to return to normality with small steps and implement smaller actions.
Clara's wish - So in April we could fulfill the dream of little Carla. Clara is a powerful girl who has stood up to cancer. She has the desire to have her own climbing area in her home environment. We were able to fulfill this wish for Clara and the beaming face at the picture attched is a great reward for our organization. Without the support of you as a supporter, not feasible!
Walk&Give mit Maximilian Arnold - Actually, there was only one training session on the schedule of VfL Wolfsburg on 28.06.2022. But Maximilian Arnold voluntarily added something in the afternoon. In the City-Galerie, the record-breaking player collected kilometers for a good cause on the treadmill in the Walk&Give campaign. The kilometers run by Arnold and all the other runners will be converted into a donation for our "Haus am Bernsteinsee". The recreation facility for families with children suffering from cancer hosts the annual "Maximilian Arnold Wolves Camp for Children with Cancer". Last Tuesday, Roy Präger, Conny Pohlers and other team member of the VfL Team contributed 40 running kilometers - and thus a donation of 400 euros.
Charity run on children's festival Blankenburg - It is so nice that such activities are possible again. For each lap run, money (1 - 5 €) was collected by sponsors. More than 180 runners participated, a children's race also took place (final donation amount is still being counted). We will report on the results in the next newsletter. Even such events are only possible thanks to the support of people like you. The organizational effort is high and therefore also for such activities upfront investments are necessary.
We know that the war in the Ukraine have put many initiatives on the backburner. We fully understand this, because there, too, it is primarily the children who are suffering. We are grateful for any support we can get and that you alone have opened the newsletter and are interested in our activities, means a lot to us, is recognition for our work.
We still have many challenges ahead of us, and many of them also need monetary support, which is increasingly difficult to obtain in these times of inflation and economic uncertainty. Regardless of the amount of financial support: every single € helps us. Thank you for your support. Stay healthy and let's make the world a better place together.
Thanks!
