Benefit Run 2019
Benefit Run 2019

COVID-19 not only surprised us as an association, but also hit us hard with the implementation of our traditional events. We can't hold several major events due to the current situation and the justified restrictions. As a result, we have less money that our association is now missing. In particular, we will miss the Halberstadt Benefiz Run 2020. It would be the 7th time we organized this run this year. The hundreds of registrations have shown us that this run is something special and well established. Unfortunately not this year.

Due to the restrictions on travel and overnight stays, we haven't been able to offer our holiday resort for families with children with cancer in the past 4 months. Even the work assignments in spring were initially not possible and could only take place in the last 3 weeks. These assignments are necessary to prepare the holiday resort again for the new guests after the winter months. With the support of numerous helpers, all work could be done.

As soon as the work was finished, our vacation homes were nicely arranged started a weekend with severe weather. The entire property was flooded, some of the buildings were damaged and all work was in vain. For us, it means working through everything again, repairing the houses. We already have various bookings from families with children with cancer at the end of June and we would like to make it happen that they can have a wonderful time here with us.

We need money to fix everything, to repair the damaged houses and at least make everything as it was before.

After the long time without hairdressers, some women have decided to donate their hair to wigs that can then be given to our children. It was unbelievable to see how much hair has come together and that will make many children happy. Thanks also go to the hairdressers who work with our club and who never tire of talking about this good cause.
