Presently in our support of the HIV program in Havana, we are sending all medicines that support and assist with the side effects of having HIV. There are 18 members in this support group of patients including men, women, and children. They continue to struggle with receiving the actual treatment medicines that are provided by the Cuban Government as Cuba presently has a shortage of all medicines in the country including medicines for the treatment of HIV. We will continue to do our part in bringing in supportive medicines and hygiene that they desperately need right now. We also continue to give financial support in the form of both money and food to families who struggle with the entire family having HIV.

Presently the HIV support group in Havana is once again meeting as a group with the dropping of Covid restrictions in Cuba.
First Hand Aid has traveled to Cuba twice this year in an attempt to provide this group with the medications that they so desperately need in their struggle with HIV. The Cuban Health System provides the HIV medicines to keep this group of men, women, and children as healthy as possible, although even this is becoming a struggle for Cuba. We provide the medications to treat the other symptoms and side effects that are part of the HIV disease. We also continue to give financial support in the form of both money and food to families who struggle with the entire family having HIV.
We hope to continue this program and actually do more in the immediate future for these families and their daily struggles with this disease.
