AYM aims to deliver Free VCT, treatment to PLWHA's, & increase Community, School Outreach & faith groups HIV/AIDS awareness programs, Home Based Care services, capacity-building/training for staff.
Current project needs are funds for community, school & faith groups HIV Prevention outreaches, provide free Antiretroviral treatment for both adults & paediatric and to procure rapid test kits. Further, funds are needed for porgram coordination e.g. publicity, transport, fuel, health worker lunches & field allowances. Besides, with no outreach coordination funds, our HIV rapid test kits will expire in 3 months, this will cost us close to US$ 723,327 in procured rapid test kits.
Community mobilisation, sensitisation, counseling, testing, data compilation, documentation, treatment, follow-up, home based care, food kits, Increasing the level of social and psychological support for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Reduced new HIV infections among the high risk groups e.g. Children/Youth who are 56% of Uganda's population as well provide treatment to those living with the HIV virus e.g. 322,000 Ugandans need ARV's but only 191,000 are on treatment now.
