This program is designed to cover both educational and daily living expenses for 30 vulnerable girls from the Solukhumbu district in the Himalayan region. The children in this program either have parents who are unable or unwilling to care for them, or they have been orphaned. The Small World provides them with a safe place to live, educational opportunities, and a nurturing environment where they can experience happiness, health, and peace.
Due to significant gender discrimination, many girls are denied care and education, leading to increased risks of child marriage, abuse, violence, and trafficking.
This project will address the problem by providing vulnerable girls with both access to education and a safe, supportive home environment, free from discrimination.
The program will enable vulnerable girls to lead lives marked by respect and equality, protecting them from trafficking, child marriage, abuse, and violence. Continued education will provide them with better opportunities and a secure future. As educated advocates for girls' education and gender equality, they will influence their communities, promoting a shift in attitudes and contributing to broader social change.
