Our project offers infected and affected Thai children a secure and lovely environment, providing each child with a sense of self-worth and value within Thai society. We also offer our children the opportunity to continue their education through college or university. The foundation aims to provide the best opportunity to find their dream job and return to care for their family as a result of a better education.
Due to their HIV status, our children continue to be part of a marginalized society in Thailand. Added to this is the lack of financial resources, community support, or the necessary availability of education, making it impossible to meet their needs for a brighter future. The cost per year at a public Thai university is close to 2,000 USD. This excludes accommodation, food, medical care, and school supplies. Without financial support, this opportunity is out of reach for all our children.
Money raised will cover the higher educational needs of our children and provide them with greater opportunities to focus on their studies, enabling them to graduate and secure their dream jobs. In tandem with this financial support, our Board of Directors has established a Work-Study Program that guarantees each child a safe home to continue to receive meals and medical care.
The long-term impact of this project aims to see an increase in the number of children who obtain a higher education. In turn, it will open up new opportunities so that children can provide a better future for their families. Despite their HIV status, we aim to give every child the tools and education required to become successful individuals within Thai society, demonstrating how HIV-positive humans can live a happy and fulfilled life, therefore reducing the stigma associated with HIV.
