Many thanks for donating to HHP's "Volunteer Patient Advocacy Fund." We exceeded the campaign target of $25,000 in August which has been generously matched by a $25,000 match from ChildLife Essentials.
In September, we started to present the HHP IMPACT Showcase Video which incudes Patient Advocacy as a result of which we are now in pilot partnership discussions with healthcare organizations in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Dublin, Ireland and LA. We are also have interest from organizations in India and the Congo.
Your financial support is invaluable in helping us to launch HHP IMPACT which has Patient Advocacy at its core. With an emphasis on underserved populations, the IMPACT program will help patients and caregivers navigate their healthcare system and help them understand their healthcare benefits and the resources available to them.
Patient advocates and peer navigators provide support and a voice for patients who feel misunderstood, have difficulty finding information, or are simply overwhelmed by the complexity of their healthcare system. They connect patients to community programs, assist them with finding additional information, and help decrease the stress that comes with deteriorating health.
