Dear friends and supporters,
Your gifts have helped make important health information accessible to visually impaired children and their families and caregivers in Georgian. With this information, visually impaired children will be able to learn important life skills so that they are better able to engage with learning environments at school and enjoy a happy and healthy childhood.
I am writing today to let you know that we are wrapping up this campaign. Thank you!

Dear supporters,
Thank you so much for your generous support of Mariani's efforts to translate Helping Children Who Are Blind into Georgian. Mariani's team of translators have continued work on the translation while the campaign has been running, and are almost finished with the final version! They send their thanks for your support, and best wishes for a safe and healthy summer.
We will be wrapping up this campaign on August 22nd, and will send a full report on the impact and distribution of the books at that time. In the mean time, we wanted to let you know that now is the time to share the campaign, if you know anyone who might be interested--all gifts from now until the 22nd will be matched dollar-for-dollar, and every dollar given will go toward printing costs.
If this goal is reached, it will complete Mariani's goal amount to print enough books to distribute to schools, families, and clinics in T'bilisi. If not, every dollar raised by August 22nd will go toward printing as many books as possible! Thank you so much for your continued generosity. We look forward to being in touch again soon.

How do Books Help?

For visually impaired children, going to school every day can be a challenge if they are not prepared to dress themselves, feed themselves, or wash themselves. Teaching these children can be a challenge for parents.
Mariani, a Georgia-based NGO, as almost finished their translation of Helping Children Who Are Blind, a resource that provides parents, teachers, and other caregivers with the information they need to help young children with visual impairments become self-sufficient and grow up healthy.
Currently this information is not available in Georgian, and so Mariani's translation will make it accessible for parents who do not speak English. Hesperian HealthWiki
