Herve has been busy! Finishing up as a university student in Butare, he is hiring a manager to handle the day-to-day operations in Kigali where his business is based. He receives daily reports via phone and commutes into Kigali on the weekends.
Last month, Bpeace Executive Member Donna Fleetwood met with Herve in Rwanda and worked with him on his Forward Plan. Reported Donna: “Herve is an innovative young man who was inspired by his own mother to help solve problems for women in Rwanda on two levels. Street women who sell produce often go home with no income for the day because of a lack of steady buyers for their products. On the other hand, there are many working women helping to grow Rwanda's economy who have less time to shop for fresh healthy food for their families and extended families. Herve's business will provide the street women with steady income and provide Rwanda's growing female work force with steady fresh food delivery.”
