In Nepal, a girl's future can often depend on something as simple as a chair—a seat in school her family cannot afford. At the Unatti Foundation, we make sure she never has to give that seat up. For more than 23 years, Unatti has welcomed girls born into hardship—daughters of widows, laborers, and families trapped in generational poverty. We give them more than education; we give them a home, mentorship, and the steady love that whispers, "you matter." This commitment to holistic care ensures that every girl who enters our doors is empowered to break the cycle of poverty and claim her rightful place in the world.
As the Nepali school year begins in April 2026, we are thrilled to announce that 10 more girls will officially be joining the Unatti family. Our dedicated team of social workers has been working tirelessly, traveling deep into rural areas to conduct the intensive family assessments required for these life-changing scholarships. This work requires immense sensitivity; our team enters homes with a deep respect for each family's unique struggle, listening to stories of hardship to ensure we identify the candidates most in need of a permanent "seat." By securing these new spots, we are doing more than providing enrollment—we are expanding our family to include ten more bright futures, ensuring these young women have the stability, safety, and support they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
