HerSafe - Empowering Women Through Health & Skills The HerSafe project by Care and Love Foundation supports women in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam by providing free sanitary pads, balanced meals, groceries, clothes, and blankets. It promotes hygiene awareness and offers skill training in computers, soap making, and diya making, helping women gain confidence, health, and self-reliance.
Many women and girls in rural and slum areas of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam lack access to sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene awareness, leading to health problems and social stigma. Due to financial hardship, most women struggle to afford balanced meals, clothing, and necessities, which affects their overall well-being. Limited access to education and skill development opportunities prevents women from becoming self-reliant and improving their quality of life.
Distribute free sanitary pads and conduct health and hygiene awareness programs for women and girls. Provide balanced meals, clothes, groceries, and blankets to support women's daily needs and well-being. Offer skill development training, such as computer basics, soap making, and diya making, to help women earn and become self-reliant.
Women gain confidence, hygiene awareness, and self-respect, breaking taboos around menstrual health. Improved nutrition and livelihood skills help families achieve better health and financial stability. Creation of a strong network of independent, skilled women who support and inspire others in their communities.
