Thanks to your generous support, 2025 was a remarkable year for Virreyes Hockey. Throughout the year, more than 150 girls from the Virreyes community participated in weekly trainings, strengthening not only their athletic skills but also their confidence, teamwork, and sense of belonging.

During the season, the teams took part in numerous friendly matches and local tournaments. These experiences allowed the girls to challenge themselves, celebrate their progress, and proudly represent their neighborhood. Beyond the field, hockey continues to be a powerful tool for social development, helping participants build friendships, develop leadership skills, and grow in a supportive environment.

For many of the girls, Virreyes Hockey represents much more than a sports program. It is a safe and joyful space for recreation, connection, and personal growth, especially in a context where opportunities for girls’ participation in sports are often limited.

As we begin 2026, we are excited to continue this journey. The teams are preparing to start a new season of trainings and matches, welcoming both returning players and new girls from the neighborhood. Through hockey, we aim to keep reducing social and gender gaps, while providing a space where girls can play, learn, and thrive.
