During this period, we supported individuals living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) by ensuring access to their monthly hemodialysis sessions.
Additionally, we accompanied their families through preventive health workshops focused on early disease detection and healthy nutrition habits. Key topics included:
Specialized nutrition for CKD
Early detection and prevention of kidney disease
Proper care and management for patients with catheters
Monitoring vital health metrics (weight, blood glucose, and blood pressure)
Emotional well-being and coping strategies
We also provided comprehensive, home-based care through personalized home visits for each beneficiary.
This holistic approach combined clinical treatment with preventive education tailored to chronic kidney disease. Active family participation—driven by a awareness of shared genetic and lifestyle risk factors for diabetes and hypertension—yielded measurable results: 52.94% of beneficiaries improved their weight and height/BMI metrics, while 29.41% maintained stable indicators.
