During the current reporting period, Cáritas San Luis Potosí provided financial support to 15 individuals living with chronic kidney failure, ensuring their access to essential hemodialysis treatment.
Due to current resource limitations, each beneficiary received one hemodialysis session, resulting in a total of 15 sessions delivered. While patients typically require three sessions per week, this intervention was critical in helping stabilize their condition and preventing further health deterioration.
With each session costing $65 USD, the program facilitated a total investment of $975 USD in direct, life-sustaining treatment.
Key Quantitative Outcomes:
Although limited to one session per patient, this support represented a vital and timely intervention. For many beneficiaries, receiving even a single treatment can alleviate immediate symptoms, reduce health risks, and provide temporary stabilization while they seek continued care.
This progress highlights both the critical need for ongoing support and the immediate impact that each contribution can make. Expanding access to continuous treatment remains essential to improving survival rates and quality of life for these patients.
