A participatory workshop was held in Yaan between 1~3 March 2014 with 46 participants from local community organization, hospitals, and government agency. Xintu staffs facilitated the workshop and developed five proposals for childhood mental health promotion.
Facilitators guided the process of problem identification, stakeholder analysis, root cause analysis and reach agreement for future vision, set up objectives, visulization of change pathway, and define indicators to measure process etc. The participants learned how the stakeholders work togather to define priority, to find solution, to mobilize the resource, and to measure the success on childhood mental health promotion.
Those five proposals produced by this workshop had been comments by local government officers and hospital staffs and reviewed by some foundation staffs. It has potential to be funded by local government or foundation in the coming months.
Xintu is dedicated to support local community organization, hospitals and governemnt agancy working togather and exploring community solutions for mental health promotion, particularly for children affected by earthquake.
