This pandemic has shown us that education is vital as many children today cannot go to school. As many of you know, we had to suspend classes at our daycare and preschool to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families. Thankfully, our program has continued through distance learning. But, parents have had to dedicate their time to educating their children instead of working. Because of this, our families are in desperate need of additional support during this quarantine.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have seen a shortage in resources for our students. CILA normally provides free daycare and preschool but with the current pandemic, many of our families cannot work and must home school their kids. Our 180 families are in need of groceries, cleaning supplies and preventative medicine to ensure a healthy return once this is all over.
This project will ensure our CILA families do not have to worry about losing their monthly income to buy basic needs and can focus on the education of their children.
The first five years of a child's life can have a serious impact on their overall development down the road. This campaign will ensure that consequences of this pandemic will not affect our students' futures. We will continue to support parents provide excellent education through distance learning while providing families the basic needs to do so - keeping our families and teachers safe. Our kids won't have any setbacks, and will continue learning and celebrating being kids!
