Living in Venezuela is More Difficult with Every Passing Day

The recent power cuts, shortage of water, gasoline, cash, and life-saving medicines have caused total chaos in the country.

For most Venezuelans, these are the worst of times. There is one non-profit U.S. NGO that continues to provide support for those who simply cannot provide for themselves. This is the South American Initiative (SAI), with a team of staff and volunteers helping orphanages, hospitals, and animal shelters. These are the ones who need help the most.

Helping the Most Vulnerable

South American Initiative is committed to improving the lives of the most vulnerable people in Venezuela. For this reason, SAI has created a program called Helping Venezuela Hospitals to make, prepare, and distribute healthy meals and medicine to patients and their families struggling from severe lack of food and money. Each meal is paid for by donors who have shown compassion in aiding people who are hospitalized in Venezuela.

Food and Medical Supplies

SAI is distributing balanced, protein-rich meals and medical supplies to Let’s Give a Helping Hand to Venezuela. These meals are prepared under strict hospital regulations and are made specifically for the needs of each patient. In addition, much needed medical supplies are being distributed to improve patient care.   

5,839 Nutritious Meals

In the past two months of April and May, SAI and GlobalGiving have provided 5,839 nutritious meals to those who cannot feed themselves: Let’s Give a Helping Hand to Venezuela.

Your Donations Save Lives

Volunteers and staff with SAI distribute food in hospitals to seniors who are unable to find food for themselves. Private donors from the U.S., Canada, UK, and the European Union are saving lives by donating to SAI which provides nutritious food and medical supplies for those living in poverty.

In the last two months, South American Initiative and GlobalGiving together has provided 4,819 nutritious meals in total.
