Uday Shikshan Sanstha, the society was registered in 1959 and the school project at Untakhana was started in 1963. The school started with less than 50 students then and With Round Table India being associated with them for the past 2 years, the school now benefits around 450 students.
There is a challenge of getting more students to enroll for the school as the mindset of the people is that children can be additional bread earners for the family. By providing good education facilities and providing infrastructure where we can counsel the children and parents that with the help of education, the children can grow and live a better life and not promote child labour in their families.
By providing adequate infrastructure in the form of 3 additional classrooms, we will be able to accommodate over 120 students and bring a change in their lives.
We plan to build multiple classrooms over the years and ensure every child in the village is literate
