Reporting Period
2026
1. Project Overview
LIFE AGLOW FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION is implementing the project “Help 96 Abandoned Elderly Widows in Lagos, Nigeria” to provide essential humanitarian support to 96 elderly widows who are living in difficult and vulnerable circumstances.
Many of these elderly women have little or no regular income and struggle to meet basic needs such as food, healthcare, clothing and other necessities. The project was developed to provide practical assistance, restore dignity and remind these vulnerable women that they are not forgotten or abandoned.
2. Project Activities and Progress
During this reporting period, the project has faced a significant funding challenge.
LIFE AGLOW FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION has not received any funds from GlobalGiving toward this project to date. Consequently, the planned project activities could not be implemented at the intended scale.
Despite the absence of project funding, the Foundation has continued to maintain its commitment to vulnerable people and to seek opportunities to mobilize support for those in need.
The Foundation has also continued engaging potential donors and supporters and raising awareness about the difficult circumstances faced by the 96 elderly widows.
3. Beneficiaries
The intended beneficiaries are 96 abandoned and vulnerable elderly widows in Lagos State, Nigeria.
These women require support with basic necessities, particularly food and healthcare. For elderly people living without dependable family or financial support, even relatively small interventions can make a meaningful difference in their daily lives.
4. Results and Impact
Because no GlobalGiving funding has been received for this project, we are unable to report the planned level of direct project impact during this reporting period.
The absence of funding has significantly limited our ability to provide the planned food, healthcare and other humanitarian assistance to the 96 beneficiaries.
However, the project has helped bring greater attention to the needs of these vulnerable elderly women and has strengthened our determination to mobilize resources for them.
5. Challenges
The major challenge during this reporting period has been insufficient funding.
Although the project was created to address urgent humanitarian needs, the Foundation has not received GlobalGiving funding for its implementation. This has prevented us from carrying out the planned activities at the required scale.
The needs of the beneficiaries, however, remain urgent. Many of the elderly widows continue to face hardship and require regular assistance to meet their basic needs.
6. Financial Update
GlobalGiving funding received for this project during the reporting period: $0
No GlobalGiving funds have been received or spent on this project during the reporting period.
Therefore, there are no GlobalGiving project expenditures to report for this period.
The Foundation continues to seek donations and other legitimate sources of support so that the planned activities can commence and the 96 elderly widows can receive meaningful assistance.
7. Next Steps
Our immediate priority is to mobilize the resources required to begin providing direct assistance to the 96 elderly widows.
Once funding becomes available, the Foundation plans to prioritize:
We will maintain appropriate records of project activities and expenditures and provide updates as implementation progresses.
8. Sustainability and Commitment
LIFE AGLOW FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION remains committed to this project despite the funding challenges.
We believe that elderly people who have been left without adequate support deserve dignity, compassion and practical assistance. Our goal is not simply to provide one-time relief, but to build a sustainable support system through continued fundraising, donor engagement and partnerships.
We are therefore continuing to seek individuals, organizations and funding partners who can help us reach these 96 elderly widows.
9. Conclusion
The “Help 96 Abandoned Elderly Widows in Lagos, Nigeria” project remains an important humanitarian priority for LIFE AGLOW FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION.
Although we have not received GlobalGiving funding for this project during the reporting period, the need among the intended beneficiaries remains very real and urgent.
We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to present this report and remain hopeful that, with the support of GlobalGiving donors and other partners, we will be able to implement the project successfully and provide these 96 elderly widows with the food, healthcare and essential assistance they urgently need.
Every vulnerable person deserves dignity, compassion and hope.
