Thank you for helping to rebuild 23 leagues in New York and New Jersey that lost everything in Hurricane Sandy earlier this year. With your support, we were able to deliver $210,000 worth of equipment to ensure that nearly 10,000 kids had a glove on their hand, a bat on their shoulder, and a uniform on their back when their 2013 season began.
As we wrap up this project, we were reminded that baseball is magical, and sometimes, it's more than just playing. Baseball can restore a sense of normalcy and help children heal in times of tragedy. It is about connecting to one another, the element of pure play, and being able to be a kid amidst all the chaos.
