Our Women's Rehabilitation Center has been functioning for more than 20 years, it was created of the growing need to support women with substance dependence disease in the country. Through the years we've been able to help so many women of different ages and backgrounds, our organization is compromised to create a healthy environment where they can be supplied with the necessary tools to improve their lives. We need your support now to continue helping these brave women on the path to recovery.
The psychoactive substance dependence disease is a chronic disease, women face special issues when it comes to addictions and drug use, these differences are influenced by sex (biological differences) and gender (differences based on roles defined by culture) they're often discriminated and marginalized, it's difficult for them to get access to detox or rehabilitation because government funding is insufficient and most organizations don't have enough resources to provide the treatment they need.
This project will ensure the permanence of the necessary actors to achieve success in the care of the target population, from psychology, social work, occupational therapy, addiction counseling, cook, doctor, family care, training activities and entrepreneurship opportunities, self-help and spiritual orientation. With the appropriated treatment, these women can feel they're in charge of their lives again, feel empowered, fulfill their responsibilities, roles in society, and their goals in life.
This is a project that has a high long-term impact, your support will enable us to continue providing high-quality professional help in order to assist women overcome their addiction. Many women can come to our center and complete the treatment program which has notable long-term positive effects for them, their families and the community, most women who complete our program are sober, healthy and continue their education, find jobs and have become active members of their communities.
