This project will provide HIV/AIDS support services to vulnerable patients and families through counselling, treatment adherence support, appointment reminders, and transport assistance to health facilities. The programme aims to improve access to healthcare, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and ensure patients remain consistent with life-saving treatment and care. It will also provide educational materials and books to disadvantaged children through our Children's Book Donation Project.
Many vulnerable individuals living with HIV struggle to access consistent healthcare due to poverty, transport costs, emotional distress, and lack of support systems. Missed clinic appointments and interrupted treatment place patients at greater risk of illness and HIV transmission. Families already facing economic hardship often cannot afford transport to healthcare facilities, while stigma and mental health challenges continue to affect treatment adherence and overall well-being.
This project will provide counselling services, treatment adherence support, appointment reminders, and transport assistance for vulnerable HIV/AIDS patients. Community support workers will help patients stay connected to healthcare services, attend clinic visits, and continue their treatment plans. By reducing barriers to care and providing emotional support, the programme will improve health outcomes and strengthen support systems for affected individuals and families.
The project will help improve long-term treatment adherence, reduce missed clinic appointments, and strengthen the wellbeing of vulnerable families affected by HIV/AIDS. Increased access to counselling and healthcare support will contribute to healthier communities, improved quality of life, and reduced HIV-related risks. The programme will also help build trust between communities and healthcare services while encouraging sustainable health-seeking behaviour.
