Dear Donors ,
On behalf of the seniors and Neoumanist staff we would like to thank you for your continuous support of our project. We are glad to inform that the pandemic situation in Moldova is better now. We have less infected persons and about 12% of population are vaccinated.
Starting with 24 of May seniors have possibility to visit the center again. During the first week beneficiaries of the center communicated a lot. The staff could observe how “thirsty” of talking they were. Everybody was happy to see his friends and neighbors. Finally, the center got alive, the noise, the laugh, the activities, the presence of the elderly warmed the atmosphere. In the last three months 3584 lunches were prepared and delivered, 2170 kg of laundry was washed, 247 elderly got psychological counseling in order to maintain their mental health and help to pass the consequences of the pandemic: isolation, frustration, vulnerability.
Today seniors are the generation with no toys and joy in the childhood. They passed the War, the Hunger and the deportations. They deserve the respect of their rights and a dignity life. By all our activities and services, we contribute to improve the quality of their lives.
