Neoumanist Association is glad to present the results of the project during the six months of 2018.
The aim of the projects is to increased autonomy and well-being in daily life of elderly living in Straseni; encourage them to became more visible and participate actively in the society: to diminish the loneliness and isolation.
The beneficiaries of the project are elderly who are affected by extreme or severe poverty, facing health or social problems, are socially excluded and have no or very little material and/ or moral support from their families or the community.
According to the project date there are 238 beneficiaries in the project (163 female and 75 men).
222 elderly visit the center (149 female and 73 men).
16 (14 female and 2 men) elderly receive home care services at home provided by 4 social workers.
During the January-July 8 new beneficiaries were registered, 17 died, 3 were excluded and 2 were transferred in other service.
At the center elderly can join the clubs: handmade club, dance club, I want to know club, women club lessons on health issues, chorus, English lessons, also there are meetings with psychologist, massage, gymnastics, ergo therapy, help in the kitchen, trip therapy, various cultural events, etc.

During the January- July the elderly celebrated international days with concerts or special guests. Thus we celebrate St Valentine’s Day , Women day, Poem day, Easter holiday, Family day and Children day.
2 trips were organized to the castle Manuc Bei and to eco village in Riscova.
The center was visited by representative of local public authorities, students from State University of Moldova, family doctor, para lawyer and Peace Corps volunteers.
All the activities and the services at the center can be implemented only with generous support of all our donors.
We thank everybody for care, involvement and responsibility regards elderly in Moldova.
