This project will train 50 English teachers on TESOL (teaching English as a second or foreign language) in Devashtich District of Tajikistan, where teachers work in isolation and do not have access to the latest advancements in teaching English and teaching methods at schools. Our partner, Imperial English UK, kindly offer a waiver for our teachers to attend their courses and obtain a TESOL Certificate. In turn, trained teachers will train young talents from rural areas to empower for future.
English Teachers in the Devashtich District of Tajikistan have been neglected. They have no access to any professional development courses. The official professional development courses are outdated, they are only conducted every five years, which is not sufficient to be up to date and meet current professional standards. Another serious challenge is the low speed internet, due to which teachers are not able to attend online classes. Teachers are low-paid and cant afford to pay the course fee.
The project will ensure access of English Teachers to Online TESOL Course by sponsoring the cost of tuition and arranging high-speed internet in the Secondary School No 10, whose administration kindly agreed to offer their computer classroom for the purposes of this project. Teachers will be able to improve their knowledge and practice the latest methods of teaching English as a foreign language and students will gain access to quality education by trainedteachers.
This project will enable the teachers to improve their knowledge and gain a TESOL CERTIFICATE, which they will use to provide quality classes through effective and efficient teaching. The project participants will share their knowledge and practice gained from the course with their peers. Students will gain access to quality education and they can use their knowledge for development of theircommunities. We hope that this small seed of improvement will grow and impact lots more people.
