Emergency Fundraising Appeal From Tiny Toones. Like many others providing social services to the most vulnerable, we have been hit hard by Covid-19. At a time when our students are in most need, our funding sources have decreased drastically. With our funders and supporters feeling the impacts of the pandemic, our online donations and merchandise sales down and we are facing the biggest challenge in 17 years of operating. We urgently need your support to keep the centre open. Every dollar helps.
The Covid-19 Pandemic hit us hard. We also appreciate that many individuals and organizations are struggling. Cambodia is a country that lacks social services and Government support and Tiny Toones runs on the kindness of individual donors, grants and public performances. Since 2020 we have lost many donors and performance opportunities stopped. We need to ask for your help. We kept our doors open throughout the last 2 years when possible but cannot keep going without external support.
We are asking for $20,000 to cover the costs of rent, bills and staff for the next 3-4 months. Unfortunately we are at the lowest point financially in seventeen years and need a real cash flow injection to keep our lights on - quite literally. We do have a plan though and have a new international fundraising volunteer starting in September but things like this take time - time we don't have.
Tiny Toones serves the most at-risk and vulnerable children and young people in and around Phnom Penh. For years our outreach team has been able to access the poorest communities, tips and slums and educate them in health, hygiene, HIV (and then COVID) whilst continuing our in-centre classes of Khmer, English, dance and art. Right now we are only just managing the in-centre classes. This appeal is to get us back on our feet so we can go back to offering the full-service our communities need.
