Emergency Fundraising Appeal. Like many others providing social services to the most vulnerable, we were hit hard by Covid-19. At a time when our students are in most need, our funding sources have decreased drastically. With our funders and supporters feeling the impacts of the pandemic, our online donations and merchandise sales down and we are facing the biggest challenge in over 18 years of operating. We urgently need your support to keep the centre open. Every dollar helps.
The Covid-19 Pandemic hit us hard. We also appreciate that many individuals and organizations are struggling. Cambodia is a country that lacks social services and Government support and Tiny Toones runs on the kindness of individual donors, grants and public performances. Since 2020 we have lost many donors and performance opportunities stopped. We need to ask for your help. We kept our doors open throughout the last 2 years when possible, but simply cannot keep going without external support.
We are asking for $30,000 to cover the costs of rent, bills and staff for the next 6-12 months to allow us time to get back on our feet. We have a plan but things take time - time we don't have. (For eg: To hire a Fundraising Manager/Grant Writer in order to make our centre sustainable again). Unfortunately we are at the lowest point financially in our history and need a real cash flow injection to keep our lights on - quite literally, in order to to execute our plan and keep our doors open.
Tiny Toones serves the most at-risk and vulnerable children around Phnom Penh. For years our outreach team has reached the poorest communities, the tips and slums to educate them in health, hygiene and HIV, whilst continuing our in-centre classes of Khmer, English, dance and art. Right now we are only just managing the in-centre classes. This appeal is to get us back on our feet so we can go back to offering the full-service our communities need. Most of these children have no other safe place.
