At Boikanyo the Dion Herson Foundation we are committed to uplifting and upskilling pupils, especially thise who are born into child and grandmother headed households. This final grade 12 year is very important to every school child in South Africa. The last lot of exams determine the entire future of education for the girls, hence the importance of staying in school every day possible.
It is with this in mind that earlier this month we did another pad handout, to grade 12 girls at a high school near to our huge vegetable project in Soweto. It was a glorious handout, the girls were so appreciative. Each one of them received enough sanitary pads to last them until the end of the 2017 school year.
