Having completed a highly successful sanitary pad handout the beginning of this year it was now time to do the next handout.The girls we help live in inhumane conditions, bread for them is a luxury. AIDS denialism here has robbed an entire generation of their parents and either older siblings, grandparents, or for the lucky ones, a sick mother, has brought them up in such poverty. So with the help of some good friends, GlobalGiving being one of them, we tripled the amount of pads purchased the last time. We then went to a neighbouring high school and offered to the girls who struggle. Between yesterday and today we did our first handout to grade 12 girls.
