NHSD has successfully reached another milestone in the project concerning the education of street children. That it has expanded to three locations in Pakistan is a significant cause of appreciation since, when taking into account the currente census data, School Children are highly likely to be out of school.
With a 51% population of youth below age 40, it becomes a substantial concern when we realize that this population - approximately 110 million - is composed of mothers who have not completed primary education (72% of the population), youth who are not employed (48%, average of all age groups 15 - 39), and have not completed any skill training (75%, on average across all age groups 15 - 39).
We at NHSD hope that our small efforts spark a change for the better in Pakistan.
