Education is an undeniable right, and we here at Diyalo Foundation believe that not even a natural calamity should be able to take that away from us. So we're asking you to join us on this road to recovery, to renew the future of 100 young children. We want, we need, your unwavering support and faith to build a School, and to bring the light of education to those who do not have the ability to grasp it.
The 2015 Nepal earthquake killed over 9,000 people and left millions without shelters. Furthermore, the earthquake specifically damaged over 30,000 classrooms that directly affected thousands of students. Sankhuwasabha was one of the affected areas in terms of school infrastructure. The school that this project intends to build will serve 100 students. Currently, there are no schools in the specific area and students have to travel very long distances due to the hilly terrain of Sankhuwasabha.
Our project will build a school using earthquake-resistant technology that has been approved by the government of Nepal and engineers from the United States as earthquake-resistant. The full structure can be built in a duration of about 2 months. 100 students from the Sankhuasabha area who would otherwise have no education options will have access to education.
The project will educate 100 kids every year and our earthquake-resistant structure will serve as an example for other schools in the area to build their educational facility based on our design which would provide a safe environment for children to get high quality education.
This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).
