We established Nenkashe Primary School in January 2022. The new school follows the new government enforced Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) where learning is based on the needs and potential of individual learners under flexible framework and parameters that move and shift according to the learner's needs. Our urgent need for now is to build a permanent Grade 6 classroom for use in January 2023 when the new academic year begins.
In January 2017 we held an opening ceremony for our Early Childhood Education (ECD) project to share our joy with the community in starting a children's program. Early childhood education is beneficial for children ages 3, 4 and 5 years of age. Our single building is now too small and we cannot admit more children because of limited space.
This project will help us get additional space so that children who are currently staying at home because there is no room for them at the facility will get an opportunity to get a head start in enrolling into our ECD program.
CBC focuses on the learner as an individual rather than the school performance. This encourages learners to develop a positive attitude towards education by allowing them to access equal education opportunities. This educational system discourages school dropouts as many learners can enjoy exploring their fields of interest.
