Many animals in rural communities such as Alicedale and Paterson, live without access to basic veterinary care. When animals become sick, injured, or need sterilisation, families often have no nearby veterinary clinics to turn to. We are raising funds to launch a mobile veterinary clinic that will bring monthly outreach services directly into these communities, providing treatment, preventative care, and spay/neuter campaigns where they are needed most.
Veterinary clinics are often far away, and transport is either unavailable or too expensive, leaving many animals without treatment when they need it most. Minor health issues can quickly become life-threatening due to delayed care. Limited access to sterilisation services also contributes to unplanned litters, increasing the number of stray and vulnerable dogs and cats and creating ongoing animal welfare challenges.
Our mobile veterinary clinic will bring essential veterinary care directly to rural communities where access to veterinary services is limited. Monthly outreach visits will provide treatment for sick and injured animals, preventative healthcare, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services. By delivering regular, accessible care, we will reduce animal suffering, improve animal welfare, help control overpopulation, and support owners in keeping their animals healthy.
A mobile veterinary clinic will create lasting improvements in animal welfare by providing consistent, preventative care and regular sterilisation programmes. Over time, healthier animal populations, fewer unwanted litters, and increased knowledge of responsible pet ownership will strengthen both animal welfare and community wellbeing. The clinic will become a sustainable resource, expanding its reach and impact for years to come.
