Hello from the Barretstown Team,
The last camp of the year has now taken place in Barretstown and before we leave for the Christmas holidays, I wanted to get in touch to say a massive thank you for your support.
The healing starts for the children and families who attend Barretstown as soon as they enter our gates, and this is only possible because of kind supporters like you.
We often see the children as they arrive at Barretstown. Most of them don't know what to expect. Some are nervous or even scared... but I wish you could see these children as they're leaving camp.
They're re-energised and happy. There's a spring in their step they didn't have when they arrived. They're different... literally transformed. That's because, perhaps for the first time in months or even years, they don't feel like sick children anymore.
One of our campers Dads, Ciaran, recently put it best “It’s like cancer had snuck in and turned off the lights. But Barretstown came and turned the light back on”
Barretstown is able to help these children because of kind donors like you.
Once again, on behalf of all of us here, especially the children and families who come to Barretstown, thank you for your support.
