India has 1,17,064 recognized Tribal villages where 88,295 villages lack basic facilities. ISKCON Varanasi in collaboration with ISKCON Pirpainti under the inspiration of His Holiness Bhakti Purushottam Swami is establishing a Gurukul where tribal kids are provided with free shelter, food, clothing, education, health facilities, spiritual values, skill training, and a warm family environment, in order to give meaning & fulfillment in their lives.
India has 1,17,064 recognized Tribal villages where 88,295 villages don't even have any health care center, and thousands of them don't have adequate educational facilities or access to electricity and public road transport. Due to a lack of facilities, the tribal kids are not getting a proper education, values, food, and other basic amenities for sustenance and healthy growth.
ISKCON is establishing a chain of Gurukuls where such tribal kids will be provided with free shelter, food, clothing, education, health facilities, spiritual values, skill training, and a warm family environment, in order to give meaning & fulfillment in their lives.
We appeal to everyone to kindly team up with us, and provide financial support so that we can provide this service to more and more kids. We target to increase the number of such shelter homes to more than 10 within the next 2 years so that we can cater to more than 300 tribal children.
