                                           PROJECT REPORT

                                                   November, 2014

A total of 475 patients attended our hospital during the last two months; among them 3 were new patients. Necessary tests were conducted, Guide Books given and Diabetes Awareness lessons were also given to the new patients. Insulin as well as other medicines were given free to Chronic Patients.

Case Study:

    Shahana:(Not her real name)

Shahana aged 36 years, lives n Ballamjhar Upozilla, about 2 km away from Karmirhath Hospital. Her husband is a poor agriculture labor They have three kids. The kids are all school-going. The eldest kid, a girl, is a third grader. The second kid, also a girl, is a student of First Grade. The youngest kid, a boy is 6 months old.

Shahana developed diabetes a few years ago. Her husband could not manage any treatment for her illness apprehending that the treatment would be very costly.

A few months ago she learnt that Karmirhath hospital gives free treatment to poor diabetic patients. When Shahana reached our hospital, after a few tests, she was registered as a diabetic patient, given Guide Book and awareness instructions. She is now a regular visitor and her diabetes is now stabilized. She thanks Karmirhath and those who helps Karmirhath with funds.

I personally thank Global Giving Foundation for raising funds for Karmirhath. It is always a great help in deed.
