Patient Relief Mission (PRM) exist to improve cancer care and management for female patients and their care-givers by providing hostel accommodation, transport to and from Uganda cancer institute (UCI) for treatment and three meals a day to those who come from rural areas in order to receive their treatment and who otherwise would have nowhere to stay in the city. PRM was founded with the aim of ending the needless suffering for cancer patients in Kampala, Uganda.
We have installed windows and doors in the hostel and staff quarters. We have also added a couple of fittings to make the hostel readier to receive the patients. We have also successfully set up an office at the premises. The office is now functional with some staff members already working from there.
Success story
The transport van is in perfect condition with all fees and licenses paid up.
We are finally done with the roofing and installation of windows and doors at the hostel and the staff quarters. We have also improved the road network around the hostel by grading the roads and constant maintenance so as to make the hostel more accessible.
