Hi! My name is Emma and I am the Field Traveller for GlobalGiving in Ecuador. As a Field Traveller, my role is to support our non-profit partners with tools and training to help them increase their impact and achieve their amazing goals! In order to accomplish this, over the next 3 months I will be on the ground conducting site visits and fundraising workshops for our partners all over Ecuador, as well as reaching out to new potential partners.
Nonprofits are often stifled by their lack of access to international funds and resources through traditional fundraising methods. GlobalGiving offers a democratised form of aid, empowering local organisations to foster relationships and directly connect with international donors. Yet, in order for our nonprofit partners to maximise their impact and fundraising potential, GlobalGiving wants to ensure that our partners receive the support and tools that they need.
Field Travellers are able to visit our nonprofit partners on the ground, working with them to address their needs, and providing training to maximise their fundraising potential on the GlobalGiving platform. This also allows GlobalGiving to learn from our partners, ensuring that we are working to enhance their experience. Essentially, we are working to enable our partners to work as effectively and efficiently as possible to carry out their amazing work in their communities.
By empowering the organisations with the tools and resources necessary to work effectively towards their goals, it enables bottom-up development led by those who know the needs of the causes better than anyone else- the communities themselves! By strengthening the relationship between GlobalGiving and their partners as well as forming new partnerships, it ensures that as many people and communities benefit from the necessary support as possible.
