Our innovative mobile rights center is helping some of Israel's most vulnerable people access their rights and benefits. This includes especially the far-flung inhabitants of Druze villages in Israel's North and other low-income groups. Among the clients we serve are the elderly and infirm (including Holocaust survivors) who are not able to access our centers themselves. That is the beauty of this project that we can drive out directly to help those people.
Each mobile unit serves a broad social and geographical range and will collect valuable information on the needs of these vulnerable populations. With your help, we have already been able to hire a new Director for this center and hold training sessions for her.
According to our database, more than 156 people were helped over the last three months through our mobile rights center in the north alone.
Sarah's Story
We would like to share the recent story of Sarah, a single mother of three children from Akko who came to our mobile center, because of a social security debt that she had accrued through what turned out to be an error. The Director of our mobile center, together with one of our lawyers submitted a request for the debt to be cancelled.
Recently, we heard that a decision had been made to cancel the debt.
Thanks to your help, we are able to offer rights and health assistance to some of Israel's most vulnerable.
