One of our students was diagnosed with rectal cancer some time back. After taking some medicine to see if it would heal it, she had another hospital exam yesterday (30th of November) where the diagnosis was, that the tumor has grown by 3cm and she needs surgery - the faster the better!! Our dear girl was diagnosed with rectal cancer end of November 2020 and the doctors recommend to have a surgery to remove the deadly tumor while also checking whether it has already spread to other parts. Our main problem is, that the surgery is very expensive and we need to pay for it ourselves. The roughly estimated costs lie at 270,000 USD.
The money will help to fund the surgery and pay for our girls recovery, medicine and hospital stay. The hospital said we can first pay 50%, then have the surgery and pay the remaining amount afterwards.
Besides the obvious impact of this goal saving our beloved girls life, we count on her impacting other people throughout her life simply by being the amazing human being she is already today. Losing her would be a tremendous loss to Rockies Organization which we count on preventing by any means!!
