Sheela (name changed), 85 years, a tribal widow, lives all alone as her son migrated in search of work and hasn’t returned yet. Since she did not have any income, her neighbours helped her daily with two meals for her survival.
But during the COVID 19 pandemic, her neighbours were unable to support her further due to the loss of their jobs. She had been starving until she received the support of food grains and hygiene materials from PRIDE India. To ensure that she receives continuity of food support, PRIDE India connected her to the Public Distribution System and ensured that she monthly received food grains, during these crucial times. She was very thankful to all the supporters and well-wishers as without this support she was losing all hopes of survival.
PRIDE India continues to reach out to the neediest communities supporting them with food essential packets.
There are many such needy families who need support to survive. Let us continue to spread hope and join hands together to support these families in need…..
