Summary

Here in USA, we are coming together to raise life saving humanitarian assistance to the people affected by the drought in Somalia. Please take a look at some of these children who are victims of the drought in Somalia. These children are severely malnourished, and if we don't help them now it may be too late.

Challenge

Currently the region is experiencing a 2-year drought that has wiped out the crops and livestock that is the only source of income for most of the families in this region of Somalia. This has resulted is poor health due to malnutrition, as well as the entire population being exposed to countless other illnesses and preventable diseases.

Solution

People will get the basic needs of food , water and medical services. This would have an impact a community of 500 families.

Long-Term Impact

Part of the project is provide the selected eligible families, a skill training based on their needs. For example, nomadic people will get basic training how to utilize the raining seasons and save food.
