For the past 4.5 years the shelter in Kharkiv, Ukraine supports elderly people from the region. This is the last resort for individuals that have no home, no relatives and/or no place to go.
We started supporting the operations of this shelter in Fall of 2025. We cover part of their operational budget with $2,000 to $3,000 USD per month and we also help them to upgrade dilapidated rooms. We already fixed 2 rooms (2 people per room) and we helped them to build a quarantine room with a special bed (to the tune of $10,000). In addition, we are constantly sending them humanitarian packages from the US.
We are committed to support this shelter through 2026.
