First report about how Ukrainian animals surviving the winter!
By Nina Lozinska - Fundraiser
Dear donors! It was the hardest winter for all of Ukraine - constant shelling of the infrastructure caused a lack of heat not only in residential buildings but also in shelters where hundreds of thousands of animals live!
Therefore, we urgently needed to buy firewood and wood stoves so that the animals would not die from the cold. And we managed to do it thanks to your support!
We bought firewood for shelters in 5 regions of Ukraine - Kyiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhya.
Three of these regions are located in eastern Ukraine near the front line.
We also bought 20 booths for shelter in Nikopol city (also a city located near the front line)
However, this is unfortunately not enough - although the calendar winter is over, it is still very cold in Ukraine and problems with shelter heating continue.
