Project Report for June, July and August 2017

Campaign to Create Awareness : Participation in Airtel Hyderabad Marathon 2017

Aarohi was the Charity Partner for mega running event, Airtel Hyderabad Marathon 2017 where almost 20,000 Runners participated. There were nearly 40 runners running under the banner of Aarohi with the theme “Run to Save Thalassemia Children”.

Aarohi’s agenda for the run was :

  1. To create awareness on Thalassemia
  2. To promote Voluntary Blood Donation
  3. To raise funds for ABB to support Thalassemia Children

There were some serious runners running full marathon and half marathons. And then there were lots of them running 5 kms and 10 kms fun runs more to create an awareness about Thalassemia and the need for Donors for Funds and Blood. We had runners participating from all walks of life. From Corporates, Health care, Fitness Techies, all participated enthusiastically.

An Appeal to Runners : A Thalassemia Affected Youth Ashish talks to the runners.

Outcome: We saw people curious to know more about this condition which makes our campaign successful. We hope that the footfalls in the Blood bank increase with this campaign.
