Dear Friends,
We at Project Soar want to express our deepest gratitude to YOU, our incredible community of supporters. Your unwavering commitment to improving the lives of girls in Gaza reminds us that every girl, no matter where she lives, deserves the chance to grow, learn, and create a brighter future. Your hope and generosity inspire us every day. Thank you!
Today, we want to share why your donations to support the menstrual needs of girls in Gaza are so impactful and urgently needed. According to UN Women, over 1.9 million people in Gaza have been displaced, including one million women and girls. Many are living in overcrowded conditions without access to basic necessities, including menstrual hygiene products like sanitary napkins and tampons. Did you know that some women and girls are resorting to taking menstruation-delaying pills just to avoid the challenge of managing their periods in such difficult circumstances?
At Project Soar, we believe menstrual health is a basic human right that should not be overlooked, even in the most challenging situations. Your donations are helping us provide a lifeline to girls in Gaza through sustainable menstrual kits. The Soar x Hurya kit is designed to meet a girl’s menstrual needs for 3–5 years, offering a lasting solution to the lack of access to hygiene products. With your support, we’re not just meeting a basic need, we’re ensuring these girls can manage their cycles with dignity.
We are working tirelessly to ensure these kits are delivered to Gaza safely. For this reason, we’re thrilled to announce an exciting partnership with Médecins du Monde! This collaboration ensures reliable distribution channels to deliver the kits directly to girls as part of their ongoing health programming in Gaza. Since its founding in 1980, Médecins du Monde has been committed to addressing the health needs of children and has extensive experience supporting girls in crisis situations. With their trusted expertise and presence on the ground, we’re confident that the kits will reach those who need them most.
Stay tuned for more updates as this important project unfolds. Together, we are creating meaningful change and giving girls in Gaza the dignity and care they deserve.
With gratitude,
The Project Soar Team
